Ideal for single, but not for toddler beds,
Our daughter has a M&P cotbed, that is now converted to a toddler bed which has wooden slats. This bed rail does not sit well on the bed base as it is too large. If you can live with the fact that the poles lying beneath the mattress lift the mattress a little away from the bed base it’s fine, except it also is likely to mark the edge of the wooden bed frame.
We used the rail on a single bed whilst on holiday and it was ideal, so we will probably just leave it at Grannies from now on.
We only used it for a week or so anyway.

|Great bedrail- but not sure for travel.,
I don’t agree with the reviews saying that this is either difficult to put together or put on the bed. It takes a little effort but from opening the box to getting on the bed it took me about 20mins. I am very happy with it and my boisterous 2 year old boy loves it too. It goes up and down easily which is handy. The blue colour which is bizarrely cheaper than the beige, is a surprisingly inoffensive colour and blends in well with his colourful room. I have taken off a star because I am not sure it would be very good for travel. A bit much faff perhaps.

I have the mothercare cotbed with slats and this fits fine when assembled.
WHEN assembled… fitting this thing together is another story. You’ll need a few extra bits of your own:
1) Pliers, to help push the silver studs in when fitting the rails together.
2) Patience, and lots of it.
And if you get through it unscathed and with your sanity intact,
3) A nice wee glass of wine to congratulate yourself.
When assembled this bed rail is secure and does what it says on the tin.
