• ** WARNING ** Even with the safety connectors fitted correctly there are still dangers from cords that hang from blinds. These reduce the risk only. To eliminate all risk the cords should be clear out of the reach of children. This is designed to sheer under pressure.
• INSTRUCTIONS: Place the connector on a flat surface. At each end of the connector there is a slit. This should be pointing upwards to show the side of the connector the chain has to enter. Take the end of the beaded chain and position in the centre of the slit and give a firm push. The centre is more flexible and has more give than either end. The bead should spring into position. Do the same with the other end of your chain to complete
• These can be used to replace existing connectors or make continuous looped chain safe by cutting chain and adding this connector.
• When cutting chain make sure connector does not need to travel through mechanism and prevent blind from operating. Remove your chain connectors from your roller blind chains and squeeze the ball at each end of your chain in the side of the new safety connector. (See instructions above) One side of the connector has a slit that allows this easier than the other 3 sides and is the correct side to try to sqeeze balls into. When in position and on roller blind the connector will then break if a toddler gets trapped in chain. If your blind has continuous loop chain that does not have connectors you will need to cut your chain. Please make sure that it you will get the full range of blind travel WITHOUT the connector traveling to through the roller mechanism. If the connector will need to travel through the roller mechanism then this safety device will not be suitable. If this is the case their are other safety devices that will suit.
